On 9/05/19 Detectives with the Manatee County Sheriff's Office Special Investigations Division conducted a traffic stop on Johnny Ordaz at the above location.
During the stop, a Glock 23 (.40 caliber) was observed in plain view next to the driver’s seat, the firearm was loaded with a total of 31 rounds in the magazine. Further search revealed a bag of Fentanyl (4.2 Grams) in the driver’s door pocket, and a backpack containing a Kel-Tec PLR-16 (5.56 caliber) loaded with 27 rounds on the front passenger seat, several boxes of ammo were also located in the backpack.
Ordaz is also on federal probation for a firearms charge. He will be charged with Possession of a Firearm by Convicted Felon, and Trafficking in Fentanyl.
